Kate Osana Simonian

is an Armenian-Australian novelist, essayist, and short story writer hailing from Sydney. Her work has been published by, or is forthcoming in, the Iowa Review, Michigan Quarterly Review, Chicago Tribune, and Best Australian Stories. In 2017, she won the Nelson Algren Award. She is completing an English Ph.D. at Texas Tech, where she is a grateful recipient of a Presidential Fellowship. Kate is an assistant editor for Iron Horse and co-editor of Vanguard: Graduate Exercises for the Creative Writing Classroom (TTU Press, 2020). Ask her about her debut novel.
